Bolton (4/6) v Derby
(9/2)
Bolton were very poor
in their 2-0 defeat to Burnley but this represents an excellent chance for them
to get back to winning ways. The feisty atmosphere which greeted Owen Coyle’s
men most likely had a big part to play in unsettling them but back at the
Reebok, they should be able to put their class on the game. Derby were
excellent in the first half of their opener against Sheffield Wednesday but got
pegged back and this challenge will be vastly different.
Charlton (9/5) v
Leicester (13/8)
Leicester have been well overrated in the title betting by
bookmakers but they look to be more than capable of taking 3 points away from newcomers
Charlton. The League 1 winners impressed when only just denied by Birmingham on
the opening day, but Leicester too made a good start when dismissing Peterborough
2-0 at the Walkers stadium and should go better than last season.
Advice: 3 pts Leicester (13/8 general)
Wolves (4/6) v
Barnsley (5)
Wolves will have to improve sharply on their dismal opening day
display at Leeds but they, much like Bolton, should be far more comfortable
infront of their own crowd and new manager Stake Stolbakken has a quality side
at his disposal with which to turn things around.
Advice: 2 pts Wolves (4/6 general)
Blackpool (1) v Leeds
(3)
Blackpool are prime
contenders for promotion and started marvellously with a slick 2-0 win away at
Milwall last weekend. Expect Leeds – themselves quite impressive when
dismissing Wolves 2-0 – to lay down a strong challenge in what should be a
tight game. Preference is for Blackpool but both teams should get on the
scoresheet, with Balckpool having only failed to find the net once at
Bloomfield Road last season, while Leeds scored in 17/23 of their away games.
8/11 on both teams getting on the scoresheet looks a gift from Coral and the
15/2 on a 2/1 home win could also be a smart way to go.
Advice: 3 pts Both
teams to score (8/11 Coral), 1 pt 2-1 Blackpool (15/2 general)
