Manchester City (1/3)
v Sunderland (8)
In midweek we asked the question “Are Manchester City as
good as last year?” before their Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
In the ensuing 90 minutes, they let 22 attempts on goal, 10 of them on target,
with 8 requiring what can only be described as world class saves from Joe Hart
before a lucky penalty drew them level. Dortmund are on a different level to
Sunderland of course but The Premier League champions remain without a clean
sheet in all competitions this season - a run now at 10 games and both teams to
score looks to be the play once again against a Sunderland side finding their
feet thanks to Steven Fletcher – who is a tasty 4/1 to score against City. Can
that price really be ignored with his current run of form?
Advice: 4 pts both teams to score (11/10 general), 1 pt
Steven Fletcher anytime scorer (4/1 Bet Victor)
Chelsea (1/4) v
Norwich (16)
Chelsea’s new look side have made a brilliant start to the
season and should be well upto putting at least three goals past a Norwich side
which has let in 5 on two occasions already this season and lost 3-1 there last
year. Their 4-0 win at Nordsjelland in midweek was a quality performance and
none that underlines their title prospects this season with the reutrn of Juan
Mata a deadly sign for their main rivals.
Advice: 3 pts Chelsea to score 3 or more goals (19/20
Sportingbet)
Swansea (19/20) v
Reading (3)
The blistering start
to life at Swansea for Michael Laudrup has turned into a slightly disconcerting
one – they’ve lost their last three without scoring a goal. However Reading are now on a run of just two wins in
their last 22 Premier League games and have not won any of their last six games
against Swansea, although they too did look decent against Newcastle (admittedly
at home). With Reading’s open style and
a return to home pastures for Swansea, back over 2.5 goals here – which has
banked in 4 Swansea games so far and 4 of Reading’s.
Advice: 1 pt Over 2.5 goals (20/23 Bet Victor)
West Brom (5/6) v QPR
(15/4)
QPR haven’t won on the road in 16 Premiership games and they
look incredibly vulnerable against West Brom, who have won each of their home
games to nil so far this season and took a point from Aston Villa last week in
good style. The Baggies have made a great start to life in the Premiership and
can use that confidence to get another 3 points on the board against a QPR side
who are taking forever to gel under Mark Hughes.
Advice: 3 pts West Brom (5/6 general)
Wigan (3) v Everton
(21/20)
Everton are beginning
to look like genuine top 4 contenders after their amazing start to the season and
they need serious respecting whether on the road or at home. Wigan can turn it
on and off but will find things very hard against a side which has have lost
just one of their last eight Premier League away games.
Advice: 2 pts Everton (21/20)
