2.50 Chantilly
Prix de Sandringham Stakes (Group 2) (3YO only)
Winner €89,479

Pick: Esprita (win)

Mixed Intention: Found steady improvement this year with racing, winning pair of listed events in good style at Canges Sur Mer (disqualified) before good second to Golden Lilac in Prix La Grotte; Well behind that rival and also reopposing Espirita in French 1,000 Guineas, so no reason to expect form reversal.

Peniture Abstrate: Looked to have a bright future when she came with a sweeping late run from a long way back to beat colts on her career debut four weeks ago in maiden company, and likely to step on again from that; Has to be of interest but drop back to a mile an unkown.

Cerveza: Third to Moonlight Cloud on debut her only decent piece of form as a 2yo; Winner on the AW this season but likely to be outclassed here.

Epsrita: Looked filly with a future when winning Prix Reservoirs with ease on final two year old start, and sent off a warm order for the Prix La Grotte off the back of that performance; Unable to find an answer to Golden Lilac in Prix La Grotte or French Guineas but this easier and can take a big hand today.

Perfect Tribute:  Made comfortable work of landing 8-runner maiden at Salisbury (5f) on introduction, drawing away at finish and did not match up to excellent run after that when third to Soaraaya; Has found real form in last two starts, breaking track records at Ascot and Lingfield, beating older fillies latest; Holds an excellent chance here in this run of form.

Sunday Nectar: Two from two, winning a newcomers event in good style on the AW and confirmed that form when quickening up nicely to beat useful sorts in conditions event; Shown promise but more needed.

Immortal Verse: Impressive winner of debut conditions race at Deauville and best of rest behind key player Helleborine in Prix D’Amule; Given way that race has worked out, disappointing on return despite poor trip hindering her and likely to need further.

VERDICT: Tricky. Peniture Abstrate has undoubted potential but this drop in trip may not suit and this comes very soon for her, so things may be best left to ESPIRITA, who ran well in the French 1,000 Guineas last time. Perfect Tribute has proven herself to be a seriously fast filly the last twice and can make a bold bid.
