Champions League Quarter Finals - Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid

The best bet of the night may once again lie with the other semi final, where Real Madrid's semi-final place looks assured following a 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in Spain last week.

Madrid's La Decima dream was ripped from them when Dortmund smashed them 4-1 in the first leg of their semi final last year but even a defeat of the same scoreline would see them fall short today abc the fortunes of the two clubs could not be more different with a year gone. Dortmund's season has just been wrecked by injuries while Madrid are still in all three competitions with a realistic chance of winning. Their La Liga title bid has been rocked by a narrow defeat to Barcelona in a game that would have seen them stretch 7 points clear with a win and then a far more crushing defeat to Sevilla but they've won their last three on the bounce including last week first leg encounter, scoring 12 goals without reply.

There were some worries about how they would fare at Sociedad given their rocky showing at Sevilla less than a week ago but they seemed back to the form that had taken them top of La Liga, winning 4-0 and making a mockery of what should have been a tough assignment.

Dortmund's home record was fearsome in last year's competition - winning every game infront of their fans - but this year has seen times change and their 2-1 win at home to Wolfsburg last time out was their first at home in four games. While they did make done notable chances and should have scored against Real last week - making both teams to score and Real and option to consider strongly - The same Schalke side that Madrid dismantled got a draw that one cannot say was entirely undeserved and motivation shouldn't be in short supply to avenge last year's destruction for Los Blancos; The 5/4 on a Spanish win seems fair.
