England (4/7) v
Ukraine (17/2)
England did no more than they had to against Moldova and
should expect a much more uncomfortable test against Ukraine, who could well
have beaten them – and they will argue they should have – at the Euros when the
two last met. Whatever you make of England’s lack of creativity going forward,
under Hodgson they’re a hard side to break down and Ukraine may lack that quality,
so the 1-0 correct score along with either England to win to nil, or Under 2.5
goals. Both are tempting, with England
having the edge in attack to think they can eke out the win to nil, which is
slightly bigger then under 2.5 goals.
Advice: 1 pt England to win to nil (8/5 Coral), 1 pt 1-0
England (11/2 general)
Serbia (1/2) v Wales
(7)
This has all the hallmarks of a low scoring game. Serbia
have failed to score in eight of their last 10 internationals and were well
held by Scotland, while Wales have lost four and scored none since Chris
Colman, although they were coping fairly well with Belgium until James Collins’s
red card despite having just 29% of the possession. Serbia have drawn 0-0 with
both Ireland and Scotlnd and may be held once again.
Advice: 2 pts Under 2.5 goals (7/10 188Bet, 4/6 general), 1
pt no goalscorer (17/2 Hills)
Scotland (4/5) v
Macedonia (4)
Scotland were quite
tempting at 4/5 on their first show after being held by the Serbs but Macedonia
gave Croatia a tough game on the road on Saturday and should make things tight.
Under 2.5 goals is freely available at 4/6 on Betfair and looks well worth
taking in light of another competitive affair.
Advice: 2 pts Under 2.5 goals (4/6 Betfair)
France (1/4) v
Belarus (14)
France were one of the most disappointing teams at the Euros
but still have the talent do give anyone a good game and should be capable of
beating Belarus with some ease. They had a tough game against Finland – for which
they can be grateful to the absent Abou Diaby – but should be well capable of
holding a Belarus side who have failed to score in three of their last 4 proper
games. Under 2.5 goals looks to be a big runner.
Advice: 2 pts Under 2.5 goals (4/5 Bet365)
Belgium (11/10) v Croatia
(9/4)
The two biggest teams
in what was already a hard Group A go head to head in what could be a tight
game. Belgium are one of the most promising teams in Europe at the moment but
have sometimes struggled to make the most of their midfield’s ball retention,
which in turn makes it difficult for teams to score against them. Croatia are a
high quality side but they could only edge past Macedonia at home and will find
this yet more difficult.
Advice: 2 pts Under 2.5 goals (8/11 Bet Victor)
Accumulator: 3 pts Germany (1/2 Coral), Sweden (1/12
general), Greece (4/11), Turkey (2/13 Bet Victor), England (4/7 general),
Switzerland (4/11), Poland (2/9), France (1/4 general), Uruguay (4/9 general –
11.43 with Bet Victor, 10.16 with Stan James
