Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle 2013

1.20 Leopardstown

Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle (grade 2) (Class 1)  (3YO only)
Winner €26,000

Owner detailsArzembouy Premier: Twice a winner in France, following up Cluny win with convincing success stepped up in trip on hurdling debut at Chateaubriant latest before moving to Gordon Elliott; Could be potentially useful for all this a steep introduction towards hurdling in Ireland.

Owner detailsClarclam: Satisfactory hurdling debut (once fourth on flat in France) when second to Noble Inn and made up for odds on defeat at Punchestown with Thurles win but well behind Anafilier and Noble Inn last time so looks to have too much on plate.

Owner detailsGuitar Pete: Had four runs already over hurdles but best effort yet when second at Cheltenham in Grade 2 event behind Royal Irish Hussar (since disappointed badly); That represents solid juvenile form nevertheless and looks one of the better contenders to shake up the favourite

Owner detailsHenry Higgins: Won 1m2f handicap here on the flat, his first and only win in eight; This a tough start to hurdling and others make more appeal.

Owner detailsNoble Inn: Got the better of reopposing Claraclam (won since) on hurdling debut after handicap second at Chantilly but since blown away by Analifet on last two starts and no reason why that form should be reversed.

Owner detailsAnalifet: Loooked a useful recuit when winning 14 runner event at Compiegne and has strolled to victory on two Irish starts so far, brushing aside previous winner and stablemate Noble Inn on the bridle twice and hard to see him getting beaten.

VERDICT: There are plenty more contenders to come but ANALIFET has already taken high rank amongst the Irish contenders and can make it four from four here, with Guitar Pete potentially a stronger yardstick to judge her by than Noble Inn.
