Dubai Racing Carnival - Week 5

2.35 - Dubal Imtiaz Handicap (7f, Tapeta): AYUN TARA'S fourth last tone is as good as anything in this field can claim and with improvement likely, she can take this. Of the others, RAKAAN arrived here with little experience of the all-weather but made a tremendous Carnival debut when less than a length behind City Style. That was his first run since Goodwood in July and it will have put him straight for this.

Advice: Back Ayun Tara and Raakan (each/way)

3.05 - Dubai Casthouse Handicap (1m3f, Tapeta): LOST IN THE MOMENT can take a race lacking in real quality, with Once More Dubai the main threat.

Advice: Back Lost In The Moment (win)

3.40 - Dubal Potlines Handicap (1m1f, Tapeta): GOLDEN SWORD did extremely well to finish runner-up to City Style over a trip much too short and from a poor draw two weeks ago and can go one better in what looks like a very similar race in quality. Snowmaster is of most interest apart from the favourite.

Advice: Back Golden Silver (win)

4.10 - Dubal Handicap Trophy (5f, Turf): Happy Dubai really makes a lot of appeal going for a hat - trick in a race that doesn't offer all that much. MOINESUR JOE is 9lbs better for a half a length beating from last time and he's simply got to go close to winning and is picked purely on that basis.

Advice: Back Moinesur Joe (win)

4.50 - Firebreak Dubal Listed Stakes (Tapeta, 1m): One of the best races of the night as the quality steps up a notch with the likes of MUSIR, Bankable and Imbongi all likely sorts. Musir was an excellent winner of the Guineas and Derby double last year, is likely to be fit enough to do himself justice and has only had 6 career starts so is given a chance to fulfil his whole potential.

Advice: Back Musir (win)

5.30 - UAE 2000 Guineas (Group 3, 1m, Tapeta) ZANZAMAR saw off several of these when winning on his reappearance and can do so again with the run sure to have improved him. Pauliniho is the main threat on his very strong South American form. The booking of Ryan Moore is a major positive and his first run back here should be discounted. It's fascinating to see Abjer run here after a really successful European season. He was never going to be as happy on heavy ground as he was on goodish ground in France last time (heavy and would be of major interest if reappearing where he left off last year.

Advice: Back Zanzamar (win)

6.15 - Dubai Excellence Handicap (1m1f, Turf): A very classy handicap to end proceedings. IRISH FLAME was seriously fancied to make a winning debut here in the Al Rashidiya a couple of weeks ago and while he disappointed some, he was bound to improve for the run and this is a drop in class. He'll be seen to better effect for an extra furlong. pleasing effort to finish a close third to Derbaas over a mile here three weeks ago and he'll be in the thick of things; The same applies to Rahiana especially regarding the step up in trip and she too can take close order.

Advice: Back Irish Flame (win & each/way)
