Brighton
2.30 – Melodize goes better left handed than right handed, so should run better than last time out, but that was just 4 days ago and off the same terms as last time, he has to reverse form with Mister Macho. Volcanic Dust should go better off a 4lbs lower mark than last time with Ryan Moore on-board now, while Frankish Dynasty looks a nursery type all over, but BEST BE CAREFUL (win) has never been worse than second in 3 starts and has been handed a good mark for her Nursery debut and can go close here.
4.00 - Ahlaain has achieved easily the most of those with experience, and sets a good standard on his close Doncaster second, but this is only a modest maiden and newcomer MUNTASIB (win) holds some fancy entries, and may outclass them all.
Newcastle
2.20 – Sky Falcon is getting better with every run and looked the perfect nursery type when getting off the mark last time, staying on strongly to beat Nothing To Hide by a neck. Topweigth is no help though. Water Ice’s from stands get very nicely in this contest NICOLA’S DREAM (win) has shown a lot of promise in good maiden’s and can go closer off a nicer racing weight than the first 2 in the market.
2.50 – A very good maiden for the money. There are a few interesting newcomers, including Mark Johnston's Elusive Love, who holds an entry in a Listed race, Celtic Sixpence, who is related to winners and Inside, who comes from a stable firing out winners like bullets. MALGOOF (win) holds an excellent chance of getting off the mark, and is taken to account for a useful looking bunch on debut.
