Racing Today - 12th August

Leopardstown

8.30 - This appears to be a weak maiden at the mercy of TRUTH SEEKING (win), who will probably just need a reproduction of her Naas run to score.

Salisbury

2.30 - CLASSIC VOICE (win) is bred to make up into a better three-year-old but all of the yard's juveniles command respect and he should go close at least here in a maiden that doesn’t look to have all that much strength to it.

3.05 – BARQ (win) did little wrong on his belated return recently and can make the most of a good opportunity here.

Deauville

4.35 – Announce looked a Group filly in the making, when maintaining her unbeaten record in the Listed Prix De Thiberville last time and should go close here but that race has worked out terribly form a form perspective and SHAMANOVA (win) would have won with a true pace and was still a little immature when second in a good renwal of the Prix Malleret last time and can be taken to go one better here. Middle Club should run a decent race but is in a tough spot, while Alain De Royer Dupre’s second string Maria Royal should not be underestimated. Bikini Babe will try hard but this is a very good race for the Grade.

5.50 – A lot of decent fillies in attendance, so best to keep this short and sweet. Field Day is improving at a rate of knots for a yard that can’t stop winning at the moment, but this is a lot tougher than her last race. While the form of the Coronation has taken some knocks, the same can’t be said for EVADING TEMPETE (win) and she’s got have a major chance here in this grade.
