6.45 – Johnny Castle found only the more experienced Star Surprise too good on his debut over 7f here last month but the form of that doesn’t exactly stand up to much scrutiny. Bowermaster could gain an easy front runner’s lead and Coachlight should improve, but JEHANBEUX (win) looked a sure fire winner first time out and never had a chance with the trouble in running he suffered at Ascot last time and is worth another chance.
Leopardstown
5.25 - ALEXANDER POPE (win) stepped up on a pleasing debut performance when third over this trip at Galway ten days ago and can go better here, with the track more likely to be to his benefit.
