Barry Hills has taken 3 of the last 5 renewals and can provide the answer again with ESSAR, who travelled well at 2 without finding all the answers to win his races. He holds Fair Trade on a line through Invincible Soul (who does not run) and might have the edge on that rival, especially as he has to drop in trip. The Stoute horse is interesting but may need the run while Bladucci will need to improve on his showing last month, for all that he could be more straightforward today. 


2.20 5f Conditions Stakes (2 year olds)


Richard Hannon has won 4 of the last 6 runnings of this race, 3 of them with Richard Hughes up, so the speedily-bred RETAINER gets the pick.

LUNAR VICTORY shaped really well on the first of 2 starts as a juvenile and looks sure to go well here. Derby entry Desert Myth should shape nicely and market support would make him a big player.
