Shamanova: Not out of first two on first six starts, but
form tailed off (flopped at Longchamp) last season; Hasn’t been that great this
year, looking tapped for toe over longer trips; Doesn’t augur well for this
assignment despite her class.
Sea Of Heartbreak: Likes fast ground; fully deserved her
Listed success at Newbury two starts ago and travelled superbly in Arc trial
last time; Should go well here and rates a player.
Modeyra: Ran into two classy fillies this year in Theysken’s
Theory and Principal Role, looking as if a step up in trip would be no problem
on both occasions; Could get an easy lead of things here and most interesting.
Miss Crissy: Previously progressive this season, she was unsuited
by longer trip when fading late on latest (soft ground); Badly in with Shamanova
but likely to be better suited by this test and can go close.
VERDICT: Any one of four could win this and with tactical jockeyship
likely to lay a part, Sea Of Heartbreak (Olivier Peslier) and Moderya (Frankie
Dettori) could have their supporters. MISS CRISSY is the pick though, with her
stamina expected to be tested less over today’s trip.
