Ospreys (8/15) v
Ospreys (7/4)
Northampton’s hopes of making the knockouts were ended by
Leinster but they can continue a really strong run of form by taking a win at
Ospreys. Jim Mallinder’s men have found their best power game in recent weeks
at Franklins’ Gardens but were desperately unlucky to lose to Castres on the
opening weekend.
Advice: 1 pt Northampton to win by 1-12 points (6/4 general)
Castres (7/4) v
Leinster (8/15)
A win for Leinster here will see them all but in the quarter
finals, something that they’re more than capable of doing, but this is a Castres
side unbeaten in all of their home games this season. However, the loss of Rory
Kockott and Antonie Classens is a massive double blow and Leinster’s
favouritism is understandable given their outstanding record and experience in
this completion along with some lacklustre performances from the home side in
recent weeks. If pushed for a selection, the away side to sneak through by the minimum
margin would be the bet
Advice: 1 pt Leinster to win by 1-5 points (5/1 general)
Toulouse (8/13) v
Saracens (9/5)
Toulouse’s shock defeat to Connacht exposed some of their
limits in a fashion not seen in recent years but the rest of their home form
has been exemplary and one couldn’t fail to be impressed with the way they put
away Clermont last weekend. Having beaten Saracens at Wembley, they are more than
capable of repeating the trick despite the strong recent form they’ve shown on
the road, and with Zebre to come next, Guy Noves’s side can essentially put themselves
in the quarter finals.
Advice: 1 pt Toulouse to win by 1-12 (6/4 Coral)
