Champions League
Schalke (13/8) v Valencia (12/5) (7:45 PM, SS2)
Schalke have the advantage thanks to the way goal after the first leg but tosses to two relegation battlers (Borrusia Monchengladbach and Stuttgart) and a draw at home to Nürnberg don’t make for good reading. The only two teams to beat Valenica in their last 17 La Liga matches have been Barcelona and Real Madrid but their naivety means that this tie is still very open, even if they are more than capable of winning.
Advice: 2 pts Both Teams To Score (10/11 Totesport)
Everton (4/7) v Birmingham (13/2) (8PM)
Everton impressed many with their attitude and play against Newcastle at the weekend but they’re a short price considering their inconsistency and it’s just a week since Reading snatched a 1-0 win at Goodison in the FA Cup. Birmingham are no mugs and may be able to spring a shock if they can keep things tighter than at the weekend, with Zigic a possible starter.
Advice: 1 pt Birmingham (13/2 Victor Chandler), 1 pt Birmngham/ Draw Double Chance (6/4 Boylesports)
